Contribution
Producer & production designer
Alex produced and contributed production design to He Lost, written and directed by Taline Bedikian. The production-design credit is shared with Taline.
Process
Planning with the director
Alex worked with Taline Bedikian on the production approach as she developed the film’s visual direction. Script breakdown and budgeting connected those choices with the practical demands of the shoot.
Process
Preparing the locations
Scouting and a recce with the cinematographer informed the location plan. Preparation covered power for lighting, equipment space, backups and the working areas needed by the crew.
Process
Organising the shoot
Transport, meals, wardrobe arrival and the movement of people and equipment were planned around the shooting schedule. The production record documents the Dbayeh shoot on 3 November 2018.
Process
Practical adjustments on set
When a monitor cable proved incompatible, Alex arranged an alternative monitoring setup and sourced a suitable cable nearby. He also replaced a food prop while the director and cinematographer moved to another shot.
