Alex’s contribution

Design documents date from 2021; featured videos were published in 2021 and 2022. Website captures trace the changes from August 2020 to September 2022.

01 / Website

A broader practice,
brought into view.

Working with the marketing team, Alex developed Bayat’s presentation of its services, its story and the ways visitors could get in touch. His approach brought a wider legal practice into view, made information easier to reach and placed media within the pages where it was relevant.

The website over time.

Three dated captures follow the live site from August 2020 through September 2022.

01

Beyond immigration

A dedicated services page brought employment law, real estate, offshore trusts and tax planning into the same site as migration and citizenship.

02

A fuller introduction

The revised About page organizes the firm’s introduction around Our Story, Our Mission and Our Values, with eight service areas and a publications section.

The Contact page combines an invitation to schedule a call with an office directory, location links and a consultation form.

From discovery to contact

A global practice.
A direct invitation.

Destination imagery introduces the firm’s reach, followed by a clear invitation to speak with an advisor. The page connects the visual identity to a practical next step.

02 / Studio & moving image

Making room
for a conversation.

Alex built an in-house recording studio for Bayat and filmed and produced videos for its public channels. Interviews and presenter-led films gave the people behind the firm a place within its communications.

03 / Design studies

Two audiences.
Two distinct studies.

Alex developed one study for the global website and another for a separate Persian website, each shaped around its audience. Parts of both were implemented and substantially improved the sites; other ideas remained unrealized.

Global audience · Partially implemented

A wider practice,
with media in context.

The global study connected the firm’s services, its identity and its people within a more accessible website. Video and other media would sit alongside the information they helped explain, instead of relying on a separate Media section.

Carried into the site

The surviving pages show expanded services, a fuller About page, clearer contact routes and video within the homepage and Contact page.

Ideas that remained

The accessibility features remained proposals. Media integration was partial: the September 2022 site still retained a separate Media menu.

Persian audience · Partially implemented

A separate website,
shaped for its audience.

This independent UI/UX study focused on Persian-speaking visitors: the presentation of Farsi content, navigation and the experience across desktop and mobile. Selected proposals were implemented and improved the site, while others remained in the studies shown here.

An unrealized accessibility proposal

A visible route
to accessibility.

Accessibility was part of the approach to both studies. In these mobile designs, a dedicated menu entry placed it alongside language, navigation and contact. The proposed accessibility features were not implemented.

Communications strategy · February 2021

A shared way of making.

The strategy connected the website to the everyday work of gathering, producing and distributing content.

Production plan carried into practice

An in-house studio

The plan called for a studio for talks and online events. Alex built the recording setup, with published interviews and service videos among its uses.

Proposed workflow

A shared content library

An organized home for photographs, video, programme information and drafts, with staff collaborating around a shared subject.

Proposed publishing formats

More ways to tell the story

Multilingual podcasts, a recurring newsletter and a company journal were proposed alongside social media and video.

The shared workflow and additional publishing formats are presented as proposals; their rollout is not established.
