The artist and her surroundings
Alex made the portrait for his Cinematography final at the Lebanese American University in spring 2018. The film places Saade and her easel among paintings and flowering plants.

Following the painting
Wider views of the artist alternate with close views of her hands, brush and palette. Layered images and dissolves bring attention to the painted surface before the film returns to the artist and her setting.
