Biography
Vahid Behmardi is a scholar of classical Arabic and Persian literature, with research in Abbasid literature and Sufism. He joined Lebanese American University in 2005 after teaching at the American University of Beirut and Charles University in Prague. LAU’s faculty profile lists him as Associate Professor of Arabic and Persian Literature and Program Coordinator for Humanities and Languages. His academic career also includes department leadership at LAU.
